The city council of Virginia Beach should show us the sources of the money for the major projects planned for our future: the headquarters hotel for the convention center, an entertainment venue for the old Dome site (tourism-related projects); all the light rail costs and the redevelopment of the Strategic Growth Areas. In 2011, our Virginia Beach City Council will continue to ignore citizens and pile more of the same onto the citizens of Virginia Beach. “More” includes projects council wants: headquarters hotel for the convention center, an entertainment venue for the old Dome Site, light rail, increased debt and increased real estate taxes.
