I thought the movie was great. My friend didn't like it. So I'll try to be objective.

It had pretty good reviews and was a smash at the box office. Having Brad Pitt didn't hurt, but getting past his manufactured southern drawl was a bit of a stretch for me. The rest of the acting and dialog was superb. All in all, Quentin Tarantino (writer & director) gave me a quick two and a half hours. (Well, I guess I can't be objective after all).

It's a WW II movie based on a (mostly) untrue story. It starts out with the execution of a Jewish family in France at the hands of a Nazi Colonel. Think of this colonel as the exact opposite of Colonel Klink in "Hogan's Heros". Remember him?

For a plot, Brad Pitt heads a group of Jewish soldiers, giving them a quota for Nazi scalps. They team up with an undercover agent to take down the leaders of the Third Reich. The Hitler portrayal was over-the-top Hollywood.
