Scott Taylor

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Former SEAL and entrepreneur Scott Taylor has thrown his political hat into the ring as a GOP candidate for the 2nd District Congressional seat. (See PDF of his press release announcing his candidacy.)

Taylor joins Freedom Ford owner Scott Rigell, the only other announced GOP candidate, although there are several others who have indicated they plan to run in the Republican primary for the nomination to run against incumbent Democrat Glenn Nye. 6 Republicans are vying for Nye's 2nd District seat.

Taylor ran for mayor last year in a field of five and came in near the end of the pack.
