Golden said, “Dredging Mayport (FL) to make it accessible for a fully loaded nuclear aircraft carrier is certainly a prudent course of action, but relocating a carrier there permanently, under the guise of national security and fleet preparedness, would be a critical mistake and a massive failure.”

Golden opposes the move of any carriers out of the Port of Norfolk.
