Home Letters To The Editor Where are 'activist' Beach council opponents?
Editor:

Last week was the annual Retreat of the Virginia Beach City Council. The extremist Virginia Beach Taxpayers Alliance (VBTA) has taken a position opposing all TIFs.

On Wednesday morning, "TIF Direction" came up under action items. John Moss was MIA, while Bill DeSteph just sat there quietly. Thus, the item was struck, with no discussion of TIF policy now scheduled by Council in 2012.

How do the Kool-Aid chuggers feel,  their heroes being zeroes?

Henry,

Knowing both Moss and Desteph as well as I do, you are absolutely the very last man on the planet, even on your best day, who is qualified to question their motives.

I know that it's tough to see your "Tax and Spend" heroes going down in flames. You and Barrett can have a big group hug and cry. The tide is turning and I will hazard that you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Barrett's heroes and mine are largely mutually exclusive.

Keep trying.

Henry, you prove too often what a fat old fool you are. You are so stupid and would follow the lemmings off the cliff. I feel sorry for you.

At a time when our "peacekeepers" have been renamed "war fighters", it appears rather than respecting others' opinion we take relish in ridiculing the commenter rather answering the context of the comment. Why was Moss absent from an important representative meeting and DeSteph silent? Mr Ryto, in his pointed way, raised a valid query. Should he be personally be humiliated?

Thanks, Wally. I was at the Retreat, helping to cover it for the NAACP. I've attended every Retreat since 2002, so I was of great utility to my best friends.

What Kuchta doesn't get is that while Mike Barrett (status quoer) and I (grassroots inclusionist) both attack the fringe right, we do it for largely different reasons. However, VBTAers are brainwashed into believing anyway who doesn't march in lockstep with them is status quo.

The point of my letter was to illustrate that the fringe right heroes on Council aren't delivering for their base.

Henry, you have no brain to wash. As a veteran of 2 wrs, I find you HIGHLY repulsive and repugnant. NAACP and Ryto does not compute!!
