The mayor shared his war chest with candidates he endorsed.  The money used for an expensive advertising blitz.  Thje mayor helped because they lacked plans for a new convention center hotel, an entertainment venue at the Ocean Front, and believe in the light rail.

Summing up the Godfather-lie role, the Virginian-Pilot labeled Mayor Sessoms, “A king maker because he can pump money into a race and open doors to big donors.”

A ward systems is justified and overdue.  Also, it levels the playing field for small business owners and average citizens.

This November back candidates who pledge to scrap at-large voting.
