Stupid!

Editor:

[Editor's note:  August 3, 2010) - - Larry Henry sent this in response to a news story about AZ Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' question to Gen. Petraeus during a congressional hearing on the Afghan war:  Out of the 'blue' she asked Gen. Petraesus:  ""General Petraeus, what are you doing to reduce carbon emissions in the war on terror?" Larry responded:]

This female buffoon stands shoulder to shoulder with Hank Johnson of Georgia. Hank is the one who stated if too many soldiers were stationed on Guam the island might capsize and sink. Hank Johnson was serious.

My question is this: Is there a training facility where people go to become complete babbling idiots before entering politics?

Al Franken is another favorite. He was even rotten as a comedian.

The Truth:
There was a House Armed Services Committee hearing that was held in Washington D.C. on June 16, 2010 and according to the official video transcript U.S. Congressional Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona asked General David Petraeus about the utilization of renewable energy technology in U.S. bases in Afghanistan. The Congresswoman did not inquire about carbon emission reduction but asked the Commander of U.S. Central Command in Afghanistan about the implementation of hydro and solar energy systems to reduce our nation's need for fuel.

Congresswoman Giffords' question appears shortly after 2:58:00 in the House Armed Services Committee archived video on the official H...

Hum, I suppose the General could have answered such a question fairly simply - killing off the Islamic Jihaddists that have sworn to attack and destroy the United States will reduce CO2 emmissions. In fact, it is a "win-win" in that those enemies of the United States the the General and his forces send to Allah will no longer inhale Oxygen.
