Second, when you get less than 16% of the vote, and you refuse to listen to the views of the community, it seems to me you are not entitled to anys special preference. You lost so badly you don't even register on the scale. Get over it.

Lastly, Beth and others confuse the length of their white papers with the substance. Saying something that misdirects and misinforms in three pages does not make it right, just too burdensome to read.

Reid Greenmun  - Mr. Barrett doesn't bother to cite what "Federal |152.121.17.5 |10-05-2009 16:12:31
Notice that Mr. Barrett fails to cite any Federal criteria that prohibs the VBTA or anyone outside of 1/4 mile of the HRT study area from particiating in the CAC.

He makes assertions - let's see if he can back them up.
Mike Barrett  - Who are you? |216.54.27.206 |10-06-2009 08:10:30
Before I respond to your question, let me ask who you represent. Are you the spokesman for the VBTA? Are you the transportation chairman of the VBTA? Are you the recently refuted member of the VBTA who got out so far in opposition to light rail that you had to be muzzled?

Everyone in this city knows of your intense and irrational hatred of light rail. That position is well known and is documented in your famous "not ready for prime time debut" in these pages.

As a result of that irrational diatribe, is Beth Allen now the spokesman for the VBTA on light rail, or are you? MJB sends!
Reid Greenmun  - Rude & deceptive - the Barrett M.O. |65.114.155.95 |10-06-2009 11:59:02
Mike, your rude response and evasive simply serves to reveal to everyone your inability to be civil or honest.

Thank you making your bad behavior so clear for all to see.

If you think folks do not notice that you did not answer the question then you are simply fooling yourself in your arrogance.
Mike Barrett  - Rude? |216.54.27.206 |10-06-2009 14:54:22
Well Reid, I am not sure you know the meaning of rude.

In any case, again, for whom do you speak? Clearly, no one is in charge at the VBTA. The conflicting messages coming from Robert, no messages coming from John, Beth writing for the VBTA on the LRT but you are the Vice Chairman for transportation, what gives?

We were told the organization had adopted a neutral stance until the environmental impact statement was completed, yet you condemned the light rail at the same time. No wonder the members of the organization are confused, much less those of us on the outside who only see shadows.

And you have the gall to criticize other organizations for unnecessary secrecy. What is going on at the VBTA? MJB sends!
Reid Greenmun  - Mike wants to change the subject - is he caught in |152.121.17.5 |10-09-2009 11:37:21
Once again, have you noticed that Mr. Barrett fails to cite any Federal criteria that prohibs the VBTA or anyone outside of 1/4 mile of the HRT study area from particiating in the CAC?

He makes assertions - let's see if he can back them up.

Instead, he is desperate to try to change the subject.
Mike Barrett  - Get used to it |216.54.27.206 |10-12-2009 09:29:48
The VBTA is entitled to participate all it wants in the EIS process, and I think Councilmen Wood and Uhrin explained that quite wellin their piece in the Pilot.

The real issue for the VBTA is to get its message straight. So long as Greenmun is the spokesman for Transportation, the organization will continue to be dismissed as radical and extreme; afterall, he has already made his conclusion about Light Rail and published that for all to see. It leaves no doubt that he and the VBTA are unalterably opposed.

Yet others in the VBTA continue to say that the organization has an open mind about light rail. Confusing? Of course.

What is really going on? MJB sends!
