City council displays total ignorance -- or is it skullduggery?
Must be ignorance, they don't know how to spell skullduggery.
Blogging about light rail, Wally Erb points out that when queried by the media about his plans to force a referendum on the trolley folly issue, council members said they wanted to wait until after an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
Hello? Isn't the EIS supposed to be based in part on public opinion? But no, Virginia Beach City Council would prefer to get a favorable EIS and then use that to hoodwink the public into a favorable opinion. Yeah, that's the ticket.
So maybe it is skullduggery disguised as political ignorance!
