Nye unsure?

VIRGINIA BEACH - - Is Democrat 2nd District Rep. Glenn Nye really running scared?  

Based on circumstances encountered at Saturday's Democrat breakfast something was askew.

His staff asked the Susan Mariner, Democrat chairwoman, to prohibit the media from taping the event.

There was a time when political leaders took pride when the opportunity arose to take a stand and inform the public what they stand for. I must say this report is troubling. America has everything at stake and we need leaders who know what is important to their constituents and have the confidence to go live anytime anyplace with anyone in attendance. I was expecting a much better prepared candidate to enter the room.. what a surprise and a disappointment.

Full disclosure, I left the democratic party in the late 90's when Al Gore axed incentives for alternative energy then joined the rnc. I remain an RNC member while supporting Kenny Golden. I was hoping that all three candidates would agree to at least one debate but if this is an indication of what is to come this fall my hopes are dashed.

My concerns are non partisan. We need the best leader in congress regardless of party affiliation or none of the above. For the betterment of our region and country I hope more peo...
