VIRGINIA BEACH (September 6, 2010)  - - Dear Editor:

I’m writing to thank you for giving the staff Monday off in observance of Labor Day.  That is a very noble thing to do, especially since as union employees we are being forced to work without a contract.  You didn’t have to do that under the circumstances.

But I am troubled to some extend.  I see where the national, international editor, obviously trying to get ‘brownie’ points went ahead and submitted items for publication.

Since he is working for recognition only he won’t get paid for Monday (will he?).

God Bless you and best wishes for another year of insightful, dedicated, but cheap labor on which you seem to thrive.

Thanks to the vta,ken white, vns editor, and all the other comments posted. We go through this with every election. When will we the people be able to run a canadate? Why keep doing the same thing over and over and over and over again. I believe that is the definiton of insanity, right?Check out the voting record,or the actions of any canidate, dont just vote the party. We already have three partys in office right now,why not have four or five,at this point we have to KNOW who we are voting for. We cant keep making these voting mistakes any longer, our time is running out.CHECK OUT VOTE SMART!!! Lets make the right decisions from now on. WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO DO IT!!! thanks VNS.
